This tower is wrong for Kennington and will lead to more towers
You can make a difference by objecting – Lambeth will listen to valid objections leading to better outcomes - stay updated and we’ll tell you as soon as Lambeth are accepting comments.
WHY IS IT WRONG?
Too tall for the area
A precedent for more towers
Damages the character of our neighbourhood
Blocks light and brings shade into the area, including the park
Substantial loss of pavement which makes it less safe
OTHER REASONS TO OBJECT
Not in a regeneration area or a designated development area
Not the sustainable option (knocking down a good building)
Not much-needed social and affordable housing
Minimal economic benefit - 190 people vs 3,500 at the new Oval Village, but huge harm
Effect on you personally in terms of your enjoyment of your home or the area
THE QUALITY AND NUMBER OF OBJECTIONS MATTER
Make sure everyone in your household who is over 18 years objects!
